Motion Graphics

Fall 2017 - Spring 2021

Coffee YCPGD GIF

As a method of shamelessly promoting the Graphic Design program at York College of Pennsylvania, my Intro to Graphic Design professor gave my class and I the task of personally designing GIFs that capture key aspects of being a graphic designer. The GIF shown above demonstrates my strong reliance on coffee.

I was assigned a short character-based Key Frame animation as part of my Motion Graphics class (Spring 2021). This animation was created after a small series of storyboard sessions, during which I exercised the limited Adobe After Effects knowledge I had at the time.

With more experience under my belt, I took a Freeze Action assignment from my Motion Graphics class (Spring 2021) as an opportunity to edit and enhance a travel vlog I took with my best friend a few years ago. With the use of Null Objects and the Adobe After Effects rotoscope brush, I was able to accomplish a mix between a YouTube vlog and the opening titles to Snatch (2000).

At the end of my Motion Graphics class at York College of Pennsylvania, my classmates and I were tasked with using our knowledge to create an immersive "Demo Reel" video showcasing projects worthy of being part of our portfolio. The above video summarizes several projects I created as a undergraduate student at YCP.
