As part of my time studying Graphic Design practices at Nuova Academia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy, I was assigned to create a fictitious line of products following the TicTac company's branding guidelines. Beginning with an idea for an advertisement, which then inspired the product flavors and design language, I began by using TicTac's as a means to find refreshment in the midst of the summer heat. TicTac is known for its flavorful choices (e.g. mint, cinnamon, and even Coca-Cola), which provide a palate-cleansing experience. The advertisement idea I dreamed up began by imagining a man running in the midst of heat of summer. Faltering from his exhaustion, this man looks for something to cure his heat-induced fatigue. Suddenly, the drab, yellow environment surrounding him comes to life as tropical flora starts growing out of every nook and cranny in sight. On the ends of each piece of greenery appear the lush refreshment of TicTac Tropic Pop.
