As part of the Publication Design course I took at York College of Pennsylvania in the Fall of 2019, I was assigned to create a book filled with original artwork and text within the span of three months. I chose to document the topic of screen addiction through the form of a 6 x 9 x 1/4" book, filling it with an 11,000-word research paper that explores the effects and possible solutions for screen addiction. Alongside my writings, I took well over 1,000 photographs of York College of Pennsylvania students, YCP faculty, and members of the general public as they moved about their lives looking at screens. I then edited my photographs and combined them with my research paper to design the cohesive documentation book shown below. This documentation project was completed alongside a running progression of several other projects within this one class over the semester.
